The season has unfolded to be one of the best field of drivers we have seen in a long time this event promises to be fast and furious by all.

New drivers to the division this Season.

MACKIEEsperance driver David Mackie driving the one of two right hand drive machines in the division for his first state title will keep a lot guessing as to where will he finish the weekend’s events; every outing has seen David move higher in the driver ranking this season very talented young man behind the wheel.

Kalgoorlie driver Matt l Hillier another first for his debut Amca State Title driving and very fast AUS 1-253 who has been no stranger to challenging the 350 machine for podium finishes.

On Amca WA Radar

Timmy ReidyVictoria’s Tim Reidy- Reidy Racing Team with Timmy at the wheel are the current QLD 1 and NSW 1 this young man knows his way around the race track being his first visit to Kalgoorlie it will not take long to adapt Ranked number two in Australia Tim will not go unnoticed from the moment he enters the red clay on the challenging Kalgoorlie International Speedway. Timmy you are on the radar.

JC V32Victoria’s Jamie Collins-Collins Racing Team with Jamie Collins currently NT 1 narrowly missing out on his second title win this season in Tasmania two weeks ago seen him surrender the lead due to a flat tire which retired him to the infield with only a handful of laps to go. Jamie and the team from Collins Racing very experienced outfit should settle in quite nicely here in Kalgoorlie having just competed over east on a track with very similar track conditions to what he will encounter here. You can expect some exciting driving here.

WA Amca Drivers

A big pick of candidates here.

Kalgoorlie’s David Boyes – current WA1 having won 2 of the 3 AMCA series rounds held so far and placing on the podium in the other round in Narrogin. David has the no how and the ability to back to back State Champion here and all the moons seem to be lining for him.

Narrogin’ Aaron Handcock –  is always a strong candidate having won the WA title in 2014, Narrogin round of the AMCA series and boy can he drive running a 253 with an almighty amount of power under the hood.

Esperance Murray Parsons – another young guy with huge amounts of talent and ability. A consistent podium finisher which loves the high line on any track. definitely a formidable challenger.

Kalgoorlie’s Matt Le hillier – strong challenger has done well since joining the AMCA division this year. Being a Kalgoorlie driver, knows the track and has last year’s Australia No1 253 engine and exhaust in his Cardy chassis, thus he packs a lot of punch and can run a strong race until the end.

Kalgoorlie’s Shaun Cubbage – a local who will be out to make amends for his 2nd place in the 2015 State Title. Currently refreshed his car with the 350 Chev motor and quick change axle group. He will be strong on the night and watch out for the after party if he takes it out either night.

Esperance Greg Horan – hooly dooly look out, current Australia 1 chassis is hitting the track with the Chev 350 engine and quick change in as well. This car could well and truly be the catalyst that this required to go with his driving ability that could well and truly put him at the pointy end both nights.

Perth’s Trevor Bosveld – an experienced campaigner in the AMCA division in the past. Returning this year after a few years lay off but he has shown his abilities are more than capable to take any event out at any track with numerous podiums so far this year.

Michael Holmes – a previous AMCA driver full time but now runs the odd AMCA meet when not racing prior his full time division of choice Late Models, of which he is definitely a top runner in the WA class. One to watch if the car is dialled in, as he is a very strong driver.

Perth Brad Wright – The second of the Right hand drive machines Brad would have to be one of the most constant drivers and what he lacks in power he makes up with driving ability and car setup will be in among them at the end.

Perth David Newberry- David’s return to Amcas this season has seen him up the pointy end from time to time and has been very quiet lately so your quest is as good as mine as to what will be in that car on arrival.

Kalgoorlie’s Brett Morrison – The Cougar he is like a cat on the track holds a tight line and waits to pounce on any driver that make a slight error. Fast car loves the challenge when cornering.

Esperance Craig Scott – Craig been in Amcas a couple of seasons now heaps of ability shown on the track and if he brings his A game this car will stick to the KIS surface like glue.

Esperance Bill Govans – Poppy Smurf to his friends and family a man that loves his racing and if the window is open Bill will place his machine in there to win.

Kalgoorlie’s Glen Fiorenza- Electing for the 350 and quick changer earlier in the season Glen will leave no part of the red clay uncharted looking for more drive. Finishing 3rd last year in the state title Glen will be trying to go better again.

Kalgoorlie’s Aaron Mohylenko- Hard charger this driver will drive the wheel off his car 100% all the time behind the wheel and knows the way to be there at the end no stranger to podium finishes.

Narrogin David Moulds- David made the transition from bitumen to dirt has been experiencing dirt racings school of hard knocks but has the ability to be at the pointy end and if he gets the WA 74 car up to spec we could be in for a big surprise.

Weather being fine for the 2 nights the track should be in top condition and who knows what it may bring us grip, slick or 2 to 3 lines of racing. One thing is the drivers will be ready to put on a show.
