Production Sedan Challenge Attracts Big Field

The twenty three strong field, includes many visiting drivers, with defending Champion Rick Musarra heading the line up.

Musarra has already won two big Feature events this season, including the Far Western Championship, and an A Main at Ellenbrook, and will be hard to topple on Saturday night.  Musarra, who has raced at the venue many times as a former resident, will be looking to become the first driver to win this event twice, after former National Champion, Mick Hamon won the inaugural event.

The field also includes Barry Rose (below) in his potent Sigma, who has amassed three Feature wins this season and an amazing thirty seven in the past five seasons, and will no doubt figure prominently. Rose along with Musarra are big race performers and Rose will be out to ensure Musarra doesn’t go back to back.

Also making the long trip to the Goldfields is Kane McDiarmid and Graeme Rafferty, along with Laura Byrnes, all of whom are likely to be in the mix.

A very strong local contingent certainly will not make it easy for the visitors, with Tim Green, Jack Barnewall, Jeff Pahl, Dean Shore, Greg Wraight and Kevin Brewster just some of the drivers who will take it up to the “Westerners”, in the 30 Lap Main event.

Gates Open at 5 Green Flag drops at 7,  with events also for Junior Sedans and Street Stock.
