Junior Invasion is Coming

This weekend we have some of the best Junior Sedan racers in Australia and Western Australia set to take on 6 of New Zealand’s best Ministock racers in the 2015/2016 Australasian Junior Sedan Championship on Saturday Night and Round 5 of the JSRA Country Super Series on Sunday 6th.

Sarah Harris, Hamish Moore, James Wong, Cameron Swift, Ethan Levien and Todd Hemingway have made the journey across the ditch from the land of the long white cloud for 2 massive weekends of racing that will conclude this weekend. Having raced last weekend at Ellenbrook Speedway, the drivers are slowly coming to grips with the race cars here in Australia and will be looking for some success this weekend in Kalgoorlie.

TEAM AUS

As for the Australian’s locals Jacob Potts and Jay Rees are likely to feature prominently, however will have their work cut out with Australia #5 Travis Armstrong in the field along with Jake Avins, Jayke Malcolm, Hayden Thomas and Shannon Marsden.

JSRA CSS LOGOSunday night will see Round 5 of the JSRA Country Super Series for New Stars and Top Stars, with drivers battling out for series points as we enter the second half of the series. In the New Stars, Esperance driver Blake Fletcher will use some Kalgoorlie track knowledge to try get the upper hand on close rivals Izak Davies and Alex Swift who will all be looking for the top step of the podium. Luke Malcolm has been in the mix in the first half of the series, however won’t race this weekend after stepping out of his car to make way for Kiwi, Hamish Moore.

In the Top Stars, Jayke Malcolm has had some good runs of recent times, which has banked some valuable series points. Shannon Marsden had a big crash at the last round in Collie and will be looking to bounce back and score some valuable points with only a few rounds remaining. Jacob Potts will also be looking to score some good points, having not finished the feature race in Collie. All drivers will have some tough competition with a quality field nominated.

I hope you enjoy this weekend’s racing and please make sure you like Junior Speedway Racing Association (JSRA) on Facebook for all the up to date information on WA Junior Sedan Racing and the JSRA Country Super Series.
